I came here on April for KIT ! the room was very beautiful and the people very kindly !! So good breakfast and food !! The room was very clean and very romantic ' couse is like an attic . The hotel is really near the bridge and the view  on the river is very cool on morning ! excellent !!

We arrived late to a good welcome, the staff of this Hotel are so helpful and the view of the bridge lovely. so much so I stayed an extra night - The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and have all you need to be comfortable. It is a wonderful place to explore the area. If you want Kindness, good food and a good rest stay here.

Stayed here on business in late April 2013.  Arrived at Weikersheim Railway Station around 7.30pm but no taxis.  Called the Hotel and they came and picked me up and drove me to the Hotel (even offered me a brief tour of the immediate area).  The Hotel is of Bavarian style and is  situated next to a beautiful old bridge crossing the river - very picturesque.  Had a wonderful meal whilst sitting in the beer garden.  Room very clean, large, comfortable with views of the river and bridge.  The staff at the Hotel are really first class and completely charming.  Very good breakfast - and everything at very reasonable prices.  Impressed and will definitely be returning there.

We have stayed here on all of our five trips to Germany so obviously we love it. Tauberrettersheim is a great location to use as a base for exploring a lovely part of Germany,

Gloria and Iris, the owners and Innkeepers provide a wonderful experience for all of their guests.
You can't beat the food they serve and the rooms are among the largest you'll find in Germany.

The location, right on the banks of the Tauber River, next to an ancient stone bridge designed and built by Balthasar Neumann, who also designed the Würzburg Residence, is superb. The Inn's Bier Garden offers a nice experience too. You can enjoy a good German Beer and a view of the Tauber.

Zum Hirschen also lies on a major long distance bike route, so many bikers stay here.

The main road through town is the Romantische Straße or Romantic Road that will take you to the walled city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, only a few kilometers away. Also nearby, in fact within walking distance, (I've done it several times) is Weikersheim Castle (Schloss Weikersheim) a nice place to visit.

A real gem !

Wonderful Experiences

very beautiful rooms and very kindly people !!

I went there for dinner with my husband (not sure if relevant, but who is an African origin) and a son.
Even though the waitress spoke decent English we were:
1/ given a dictionary to help us with a menu with a reminder that this is Germany where we are
2/ SENT TO THE TOILET TO GET STILL WATER FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD!!! Even though I tried to order it twice and were happy to pay
3/ The place is absolutely filled with flies so we had to cover our food with napkins
4/ bullied to pay the bill
5/ called rude for taking waitresses time! 

We traveled the world, but never been treated in such primitive way.
Awful experience. Avoid by all means.
