Hotel Saarland Lebach

The Hoffmann's bought this place recently, and have been beautifying it ever since. This place was rough when they took over, but in any direction you look, the hotel is either improved, or is improving. Everyday, you will find George (pronounced GAYorg) and Judith either accomodating guests or working on the hotel. The hotel is geared towards blue collar professionals, here on business. The rooms are priced very inexpensively, but are certainly not furnished inexpensively. The rooms are nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable. Some rooms have a kitchenette, some share a common kitchen. The wi-fi is very fast, and every room has satellite TV service on a TV/DVD combo unit. A light breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 0700 to 0800. The area is quiet and charming. In every room there are some flaws to pick out, but as you watch the proprietors busily going about making their hotel better, it's easy to overlook the flaws. There is no elevator, so the hotel is not handicap friendy. The owners are not on duty on the property at all hours. I checked in late my first evening, and when I pressed the intercom, George's voice on the other end said he'd be there in five minutes. Five minutes later, I was in my room. This place does not yet have a hotel star rating. I've stayed in some 4 stars that definitely did not deserve the forth star. To me, the Hotel Saarland Lebach is in a class by itself, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for suprizingly inexpensive and surprizingly comfortable accomodations.
