Ideal for an overnight stay in the country (note that shops close at 6pm...the country goes out), you can park in front of the entrance and the rooms are on the first floor.

Nice boarding house downtown

Absolutely FANTASTIC location a few metres from the walled entrance. We arrived on Whit Sunday for one night so car wasn't allowed into the town itself so had to pay for parking in nearby car park. This was only four euro for the time we were there so no real problem.My wife and I had the downstairs apartment and our friends a room upstairs. The place is old and dated, no real surprise when you consider location, and is in dire need of refurbishment but it was clean and tidy and we both had a good night's sleep.......The breakfast served by Frau Freund herself was substantial and more than adequate....We found Frau Freund very helpful and a good conversationist. Would certainly visit again.....Excellent value for money.

Perfect Location

For a short trip, I highly recommend it. Rooms are simply equipped (the TV was missing in our room), but very clean. Breakfast was adequate. Location top! Price-performance ratio is very good!

Good accommodation

Room was basic but had reasonably comfy bed (small soft pillow). Breakfast was ample but quite simple with fresh rolls, cheese & meat and coffee.

Initially difficult to find as not sure about taking car into walled old town. However once inside the town is beautiful.
Disappointed could not leave car at guest house for 3 hours the next morning as Chinese guests expected early. Plenty of parking available at reasonable prices outside the walls as could not find the free parking indicated by pension owner

Overnight stay

We stayed in the apertment which was extremely dated and sparse although clean. Dont think the apartment had been updated since the 1970s and was not up to the usual booking.com standard that we expect. Landlady is moody and you pay in cash no receipt. There is parking and the location is good. Would only recommend for a single night.

Excellent location but poor accomodation

We only stopped one night so wanted a central location, this suited us perfectly as we found it easily, its great fun driving into the old town through the castle walls but its easy and there is free parking right outside the house. The booking details do clearly state check in by 6 pm but we rang her and she was fine, she may appear frosty but when we got chatting she was charming with a smile and a sense of humour but as I don't speak German who am I to speak! Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean and good quality. we didn't need TV or Wi-Fi so not a bother to us and breakfast was fine, meat cheese and cereals, tea and coffee, what else do you need, it is a bed and breakfast after all not a hotel.

A b&b with two rooms upstairs and a "holiday cottage" downstairs.
The house is a mess but the rooms are clean.
Breakfast is fresh made coffee, some bread, some sausage and cheese and a yoghurt.
The host is moody and present. Not our choice

I liked everything in this boarding house. The location is great, the owner is very sweet, the room is spacious, the bed is good, the shower is great, and the breakfast is very good, nothing is missing. I felt very comfortable, I wish I had spent more time there, because I only stayed one night.

I loved it.

The guesthouse has rooms that are very simple, there were no small things like a fountain, a second chair in the double room, stable floor, but everything was clean, the bed comfortable, quiet location, parking right in front of the door.

Cost-effective clean house, simple furnishings, quiet central location

For this person, the pension is sufficient. Those who value ambience and comfort should not go down here. The room was clean and functional, the breakfast was ok, the location was top.
