I had to do a bit of tracking down to get my key from the not yet open Meier restaurant but it was a small matter. I was very pleased with the room, a mix of furnishings from 1900 to 1960 with a flat screen TV thrown in (that somewhat detracted from the overall effect) with a comfy bed and view out over the street. There is indeed a shower and toilet tucked away in a cupboard/closet, which I thought was an eccentric touch. Despite some vintage touches The Wi-Fi was very good. The Hotel Lux is basically the floor above a Greek restaurant but it is not too noisy. A small bottle of red wine and water was a pleasant touch, breakfast is served in a room downstairs but I believe you can also eat in the rear yard/garden. The location is at the quieter end of a fairly busy street with the famous stone bridge at the other end, this makes it only ten minutes from the historic town centre.
