Der Fischländer

After reading a few of the "lower" revieuws , we were cautious and a bit alarmed when we checked into this Hotel.Our experience afterwards is that it was one big and happy surprise to stay there. The room (nr26) : excellent, with an extra 6th star for the beds !! and a spacious terras with a wonderful vieuw, ( only 10 euro´s p/d extra) of the sea and dunes.YES you do have to walk 50 metres to get there ,pffff !Why we did not give 5 Points for the room : we missed a tea/coffee combination .The Restaurant : limited number of menu´s , but good taken care of the food-quality.Service : under the guidance of "the Chef":best we have seen for some time. Never had to wait more then 5 seconds and anybody had the Chef´s attention. Remarkable ! Excellent preformance Chef !He had the whole Restaurant "in his power " WOW ! So: x-tra star for the Chef, who also speaks many languages ! Restaurant is decorated with a lot of detailed and seapowered accessories.Lovely !the table service was whitty ,friendly and knowledgable.Tables and chairs :comfortable and good looking, mostly situated as such, so that you can have a private conversation as well.Sauna : new -Massage :excellent and worth the money ( 50 euro for a full hour ).Yes : we did have one morning a real "North-German-knurftige-fraulein"who had gotten out of bed with the wrong leg :The breakfast was still "BIG" and if you want a Machiata or dubble expresso : no problemo ! ( and : no extra charge !!,you try that somewhere else !).SO: someone does NOT speak with 2 words : who cares ? we did not .Newspaper : ok , but German only.It actually speaks for itself that the Hotel was well booked and the Restaurant usually well occupied.The Wlan worked so good that we could follow "Strickly go dancing "without any interruption for 1 full hour on the BBC1 on our Laptop.Other (mainly German ) customers were all satisfied with the whole place.If you start reading : this misses that is wrong etcetc you tend to wonder, at least that is what we did: no need for that during our 3 night stay in December 2013.
