Sylter-Appartement

We stayed two nights and loved the place. Untrendy, but good, clean rooms and friendly staff. There is a fridge and TV in the room. Password to free wi-fi is provided, though my iPad could not find the connection in the room. There is a communal living room with a self-service bar (pay as you check out, honesty is expected). There is also a small sauna/fitness room and washer/dryer should you need it. The breakfast is excellent and lovingly prepared and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely garden if the weather allows you to sit outside. I do not know this, but the feeling was that this place has guests returning. I would definitely like to return. If your are allergic, please be aware that they allow dogs in the hotel. Wenningstedt is in the middle of the island and a good starting point for bike excursions, should you tire of the miles and miles of white beaches. The town is quiet, so if you require constant partying this may not be for you. The place is not swanky like Kampen, but neither is it as noisy and crowded as the towns further south on the island.
