Very good place to explore the area. Hotel is situated in city center of Schmidt. Parking lots are limited but easy parking at the church opposite of the hotel. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Small balcony. Breakfast buffet is good. Diner is also great. Plenty of choices on the menu. Next to the always and in every restaurant available Wiener schnitzel ;-). The spargel were really delicious…! Staff is very friendly and helpful. From this hotel it’s quite easy to walk to the Ruhrsee or some short evening walks in the nature. TIP. Park your car at the picnic place at the kommerscheidtstrasse in Schmidt and follow the walking trail down the hill to visit the Kall bridge and tank track. No signs on the route. But Google maps is always supportive.
