Landgasthof Löwen

We stayed here for one night and really liked it except for one thing. I mistakenly did not ask for quiet rooms when I booked in February. Therefore, we had rooms facing onto a very busy street, the main road through the village, which roars with traffic all the way deep into the night, at least 1 or 2 in the morning. It seems that drivers take the opportunity to race their engine as they round the gentle corner where the hotel sits directly on the street. It's extremely aggravating and just horrible to lie there hour after hour with no relief or sleep. Other than that, the food quality is outstanding, great service, excellent beers on tap and lovely dining spaces plus a huge outside terrace looking out onto an apple orchard with horses grazing. Rooms facing the back are spacious and most have a balcony. There is also an annex with large apartments, also some facing the back where it is quiet. I will stay here again but will absolutely pay the extra for a room facing the back.
