11 reviewsThe charm of this friendly German Pension type hotel is the need for an update in places. Our room (7) was refurbished and did not have the best outlook but it had a semi private sleeping area for our teenage son. The location is ideal for some great walking and although not pro's by any means we managed to find our way to Winterberg and back via the Kahler Asten peak. All paths are very well marked. Winterberg has much to offer and we happened to visit at the time of the annual Dirt Master mountain bike event so our son was pleased. The breakfast is basic but we ate in for all of our evening meals and were impressed by the German homely fare that was produced. You will need to practice your best German unless Mark is around, however this again is all part of staying in rural Germany. Certainly recommended and we would stay again - some English news channels and free Wifi that did tend to drop out and needed a re-boot.
