Hotel Zur Post

I had a few extra days on my last trip to Europe and was working my way over to Frankfurt to fly home. I stayed here one night to try out a small town in Germany. I emailed the hotel the day before my arrival and they had a room. I walked from the train station in Kaldenkirchen. When I walked up to the front door, it was locked and I couldn't see anyone inside. At first I thought that I would be getting back on the next train. But I decided to walk around the building. At the back door, was a doorbell. I rang and the proprietress answered. It was so quiet, I guessed that I might be the only guest. But she told me that the Hotel was full. There was a wedding party staying there. I assumed that we might have a noisy night. But I was wrong. I never saw or heard another guest. I don't think that the hotel normally caters to American backpackers exploring Europe. That is why the front door was locked. Most guests arrive by automobile and park in the rear. I recommend this hotel if you need a place in Kaldenkirchen.
