I can not write a review about hotel waldfriede, because unfortunately i did not have the experience to stay here due to unforeseen circumstances. But i can say the management here treat people with respect, i learned this over a short phonecall with the owner Juergen. I look forward to my next trip to frankfurt.... i will stay here :)

We again had the pleasure of staying at this nice hotel upon returning from skiing in France. We asked for the same room (the kids like the consistency) and we got it 👍😊.  The manager welcomed us back, this time we came during normal business hours, and we were told about the nearby restaurants, and went straight for dinner (the hotel does not offer dinner). 

The hotel is old, and has an interesting history. The decor is somewhat outdated, and might need attention, but honestly I do not mind, because the friendlyness and charming atmosphere outweight all the small bits and pieces that needs to be taken care of.

The family room we got is large and has two large beds in seperate rooms, it is excellent for what we need. 

Breakfeast is nice and again the manager does everything posible to make you feel at home.

We will return again, and I do recommend this place

Yes this is an historic hotel more than 100 years old and obviously a challenge for the owners in terms of the fabric of the building. But our room (no 1) was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable and all we needed for a night's stay. We were greeted so politely both on arrival and over breakfast in the morning by what we guess are the owners. It is not a "chain" hotel, doesn't pretend to be and we enjoyed our stay.
