Café Pfaus Heidburg

We chose this location for our 3-night stay in the Black Forest due to its relative isolation from bigger settlements, but still being central. We got exactly just that! The house is on a hillside surrounded by nothing, but forest and beautiful fields with dark horses and big Galloways - belonging to the host with a farm down the road. Frau Brünemann (our host) was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was nice with a balcony and view to one of the hills. The bathroom was very small, but we knew that in advance, so we managed. The only inconvenience was a family checking in on our second night, as there was endless running up and down the stairs and child screaming, which went on until roughly midnight. Nevertheless, the other night were quiet and pleasant, and overall we were absolutely happy and satisfied with everything. Combined this tranquility and friendliness with a price of EUR 70 per night (incl. breakfast), you cannot get a better deal really. By the way, breakfast was also delicious with mostly local stuff produced by the farm of Frau Brünemann. If we ever come to the Black Forest again, we would definitely stay here!
