10 reviewsHaus Am Hang is an incredibly well appointed apartment in a convenient location in Bernkastel. The proprietor, Fam. Mniszak are very welcoming and accommodating, making this location a perfect place to home base while exploring the area in and around Bernkastel. The apartment (we booked the one with the balcony) itself is spacious, newly renovated, clean and wonderfully appointed. It has everything you need to make yourself at home. The view of the woods and hills, as a view of the edge of the town is quite something and easily taken in with a cold glass of Riesling. Fr. Mniszak was very friendly and helpful, offering daily brotchen service and an added bonus of laundry - amazing! As I speak German, communicating was not an issue, so brush up on your Deutsch before staying here! :) The apartments are on the 2nd floor so mobility is an issue, you might have difficulty. The apartment has plenty of free parking, and is an easy 5 minute walk to the pedestrian zones of Bernkastel and a beautiful 30 minute walk to the Schloss. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to family.
