We had booked a room with breakfast. The reception was in fact, we were shipped from outside to the first floor, where we got an apartment. Here we found a large room overlooking the ventilation system of the non-hotel restaurant, the wardrobe was (probably) the former doorless wardrobe, the bathroom probably the hotel owner's bathroom from the 1960s, two shelf cabinets from some kind of fundus. To market a room as an apartment, you need a cooking opportunity.

You were asked by the lady at the reception what the reason for booking the room would be because you come from nearby and it would be strange in her eyes.

Reception of penetrants

Although the hotel is located a little outside Minden - but you are rewarded. The welcome from the very friendly owners determines the first impression. The room like the bathroom is very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast/buffet is a force. I did not expect you to get fresh mirror/brewery prepared here with bacon on request. Breads and breads of very good quality. It was a pleasure in the morning. If you put all this in proportion, you objectively come to the judgment Excellent!

Totally surprised.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean room. Everything you need inside, nothing to be squeamish about. A rich lunch with prepared and very personal dishes.

Very quiet hotel

Family-run hotel with clean rooms. Good Wi-Fi. Very good breakfast 😃. In the outdoor area there is a swimming pool. The hotel is quite quiet. There are enough free parking spaces on site.

Nice and simple hotel.

I returned to Minden for a holiday after living there many years ago.I stayed there for 9 nights. I chose this guest house/hotel for it's reasonable price. I did not have a car so used the buses to the town. The Landlord & lady were lovely & very welcoming & worked hard to keep a lovely place going, The rooms were large, very clean, The beds very comfortable. The shower excellent with good water pressure. The buffet breakfast was lovely, everything you could want in a breakfast. Next door was a lovely German restaurant, the food was lovely & large meals for a reasonable price.at the back of the property was a lovely swimming pool with sun umbrellas & a couple of sunbeds, very relaxing. Attached to the back was the restaurants lovely beer garden, with tables, chairs & sun umbrellas. For the price this hotel was very, warm, relaxing & had everything I needed.. I will certainly return to this hotel in future years. It was a bit out of town but I knew the area so I could go walking. But to town the buses are good & you can buy a 9 hour all day bus ticket for less than 6 euros. You have to watch for the buses back as some of them finish early. Taxi was anything from 13 to 17 euros. I thank the landlord & landlady for a lovely stay.

My holiday in Germany

Minden has been claiming to be brand-worthy with its image campaign since 798, but in some respects it's very strange. Especially the hotel and boarding area falls under the last category in the city on the opposite side, because here Minden isn't exactly happy with fame and honor and so I landed rather out of a lack of alternatives instead of free pieces in the hotel to cool down the ground. The hotel belongs to the solid middle class. The owner is not exactly an example of warmth and decent behaviour, the house has already earned a little more talent in dealing with the neighbors.

Rooms good medium, food surprisingly very good

This is a small simple hotel in Minden. Family owned. Rooms are nice, clean and simply furnished. Wi-Fi signal is strong enough, what is for such busniess stops as well very important. Bathroom is simple and clean. TV set was very small. I was not Quite satisfied with breakfast. Came at about 7.30 and scrambled eggs were completely cold. Otherwise is good relationship between price-quality.

Short business stop

I stayed one night at the Hotel Zum Kuehlen Grunde. You need a car to get there from Minden downtown. It is about 3-4 km. They have parking just outside the hotel. The room I got was rather spacious as well as the bathroom. TV was small and the Internet rather slow. Breakfast was good and the service was friendly. It looks like it is a family run hotel.

Nicely run hotel a little bit outside Minden

This hotel is a bit out of Minden and you will need your car to travel to the town. We stayed a week ago and found the accommodation quite comfortable. Plenty of free car parking space and no need to reserve. If you do not want to travel into town for an evening meal, there is a very good restaurant next door which is totally independent from the hotel. Breakfast is not particularly exciting but OK. We found that it was a bit off putting to have the owners watching us eat. Providing you do not stay too long, this is a good venue.
