Zum Kühlen Grunde

I returned to Minden for a holiday after living there many years ago.I stayed there for 9 nights. I chose this guest house/hotel for it's reasonable price. I did not have a car so used the buses to the town. The Landlord & lady were lovely & very welcoming & worked hard to keep a lovely place going, The rooms were large, very clean, The beds very comfortable. The shower excellent with good water pressure. The buffet breakfast was lovely, everything you could want in a breakfast. Next door was a lovely German restaurant, the food was lovely & large meals for a reasonable price.at the back of the property was a lovely swimming pool with sun umbrellas & a couple of sunbeds, very relaxing. Attached to the back was the restaurants lovely beer garden, with tables, chairs & sun umbrellas. For the price this hotel was very, warm, relaxing & had everything I needed.. I will certainly return to this hotel in future years. It was a bit out of town but I knew the area so I could go walking. But to town the buses are good & you can buy a 9 hour all day bus ticket for less than 6 euros. You have to watch for the buses back as some of them finish early. Taxi was anything from 13 to 17 euros. I thank the landlord & landlady for a lovely stay.
