Center Parcs Park Hochsauerland

We are on our last night in CP Hochsauerland in Germany. We (me, my husband and my 13 yr old son) have had an absolutely brilliant time here and have been impressed with the site and hospitality we've experienced in Center Parcs and across Germany. I didn't see many reviews about this Center Parcs so thought I'd add our thoughts for everyone who might be considering it. It's a looong drive from Calais. We stopped at Hasselt in Belgium on the way and will be stopping in Antwerp on our way home tomorrow to break it up. Scenery is worth it when you get here though. The adventure park at the top of CP is brilliant. Good for all ages, but probably best for under 13s. We ate at some of the restaurants on site and others in the near town of Medebach. All were nice food, same kind of prices as at home. We hired bikes (ebike for me) and enjoyed zipping to Medebach and up and down to the main areas. We went to Aqua Mundo every day. Loved the slides, wave pool and outside area to sunbathe and dip in and out of the pool when it got too hot. My son also loved the table tennis and volleyball areas to play in at the poolside. We went to nearby Winterberg so that my son and husband could visit the bike park. Absolutely excellent if you love mountain biking like they do. There is also other activities like mini golf, a sky walk, toboggan run etc. Brilliant day out, highly recommend it. We had a premier cottage in zone 4 and we couldn't fault it. We used the screen mirroring function on the tv to watch Netflix and amazon prime. The cottage had a terrace out the back and we had a few bbq out there. All in all, it was a great experience and we enjoyed it!
