Hotel Stadtpark

We visited Lübeck over Christmas and had the most comfortable stay which included a visit to the top-notch in-house sauna, a massive continental breakfast with fresh bread rolls, eggs, cold meats, a large selection of cheeses, different breads, muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. and restful nights on a high quality mattress in a lovely room. Absolutely divine. The hotel is quiet even though it is in walking distance to the old, charming city center of Lübeck which is buzzing with excitement over the festive season. The hotel was completely booked out but it never felt overcrowded and the lovely and attentive owners were always present even though we stayed over Christmas (the hall sported the most beautifully decorated Christmas tree -- so special). They also had a huge number of great recommendations for our exploration of Lübeck: For example we visited the newly built Hanse-Museum which was an absolute treat. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to a visit in summer as the hotel is situated very close to a number of parks and the beautiful river Wakenitz which invites a number of activities, like swimming, angling, canoeing and kayaking.
