Gästehaus am Rastberg

I absolutely LOVED this place! The location is VERY remote but yet only 15 minutes or so from Munich. I hit a massive traffic jam on a Friday afternoon en route to this inn and it was an almost INSTANT change of pace. From frenetic to peaceful in a short period of time. The woman proprietor does not speak English but the check-in was still smooth. The room was VERY clean. The bathroom was a little small but all the necessities were there including shampoo. I would like to see Bavarian hotels offer a coffee pot for coffee or tea in the room but I never saw this in my entire week there. The bed was VERY comfortable. The road this hotel is on sees some traffic... but after a certain hour it is quite unbusy. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, the dining room impeccable. AMPLE parking if you have a car. The surrounding environment is simply charming. You are only about 25 kilometers from Landshut... a GREAT place for dining, exploring. En route to Landshut, and close to the hotel, are gas stations, markets. The rest of the area is bucolic and wonderful. When I used my GPS to go to the airport for my flight home, it took me on a route that had NO traffic. It took roughly 15 minutes. PERFECT! Suddenly I am at the airport with no issues. I did not hear much (if any) airplane noise while staying at this hotel. This hotel has a 9.2 Booking.com rating. There is a very good reason for this. The hotel IS indeed quite wonderful and reasonably priced. Worth every penny. I recommend this hotel HIGHLY!
