Hotel Stralsund und Herwig's

Immediately across from the train station yet quiet in our room at the front! We ordered a cheap double room and it was a spacious room with a balcony! This was probably once a grand dame, and now it's the Queen Mother: a little worn but clean, well-maintained with old beautiful touches. And what a buffet breakfast. It's just a short walk across a short bridge into the old town, which has little traffic and beautiful nooks and grand churches to discover. 'Found a very good restaurant on the square. One slight drawback: no ramp into the lobby from the street. I don't remember if there was AC. (It wasn't needed; probably because the room was big and Stralsund is far north.)
