The Location We spent a week at the Loewentempel Gaestehaus. What a marvelous experience! The location is perfect for a getaway - especially if you need a complete recharge. Take long walks through the forest and drink water from natural springs. Nearby is the Border Triangle - a location where you can see Austria, Germany and Czech simultaneously! There are 2 bus stops in walking distance (or get dropped off) for travelling to nearby Passau - also a great tourist location. The guest house is connected to the "Lion Temple" - a branch of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness - known as the "Hare Krishnas". No matter what your religious affiliation - you will be able to share and grow spiritually from interactions with these friendly people. The staff The staff are warm, helpful and friendly. Indeed, the entire atmosphere is one of caring and love. A family team manage the guest house - and their family spirit is pervasive. The food The freshest ingredients are used in the sumptuous, healthy meals prepared here - grown on the farm itself. Just this one aspect is sure to improve your health tremendously. Our favourite was the milk sweets on offer for dessert - we still dream about them ! The facilities The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. We had the family room (en suite) with another room attached that can be used for another bed or as a lounge area. There are washing and drying facilities available for a nominal charge. While we were there - they were renovating to create a library/reading room and also expanding the reception area. There is a gift shop on the premises if you are looking for cool and unique gifts for friends. Price Very reasonably priced. Excellent value for money. General Already looking forward to our next visit there.
