This was a great way to experience the german culture during the month of March.  It was cold outside so we did not miss at air conditioning. The breakfasts were great and the people working here were extremely friendly.  The rooms were very basic but very comfortable.  If I go back to Ingelheim I will definitely stay at this hotel.

We stayed five nights at the Ehrholung. It is very conveniently located near the Ingelheim Hauptbahnhof, as well as being 15mins walk to the old city. 

Our room was one of the cheaper rooms and did not have air conditioning. When we made the booking we didn't think that the air conditioning would be an issue, but it was exceptionally hot in Germany this summer and our room was like an oven. We opened the window at night for some airflow, but it didn't make much of a difference. We imagine that in winter, these rooms are very comfortable, being so well insulated.  

We found the room size to be fine. The bathroom however was quite small. There was barely enough room in the shower to move around. I don't know that much can be done about this, but something to note. A hair dryer is provided. 

The breakfast at the hotel is a buffet that is quite extensive. I could not fault the selection. 

We found some of the staff to be friendlier than others, but whilst they didn't hide their exasperation with us, no one was ever rude or unhelpful. 

Whilst we do have a lot of positive things to say about the Erholung, we would not stay there again because we felt that it was a little over priced. 



Excellent breakfast, fab location and very clean hotel. 

The hotel is a good European-style hotel.  It has all the essentials you expect, but offeres a different, more intimate experience than a US Hotel chain.  I would strongly recommen getting a "Komfort Zimmer", since the others may not include an individual air conditioning, which especially American travelers will expect.  

The breakfast is good and the location is a short walk from the train station, so there is no need for a taxi (also only a 10 minute walk from Boehringer Ingelheim if that is the purpose of your visit)

Good hotel and very convenient if you are on a trip to Ingelheim

Beautiful hotel -4star-

It sounded like a nice place and came recommended by colleagues but 3 days before I was supposed to stay there I received a mail that there was no room for me. I had reserved in advance.
