I have stayed several times in this hotel and have never been disappointed. The rooms are pleasantly large with balcony, seating area, TV, safe and en suite. The breakfast buffet is what the Germans call "rustikal" and offers a good variety of bread/bread rolls, müsli, meats, cheeses, fruit juices, boiled and scrambled eggs - in short, everything for a hearty breakfast. The 3-course evening meal (when taking half board option) is good old homemade food. A bit more variety in the starters (usually soup) and puddings (usually yoghurt based) would be desirable. Prices for drinks are very affordable (e.g. €9.00 for a bottle of Dornfelder). The hotelier and his wife are very friendly, nothing is too much for them. The hotel is in the centre of this tiny village, which is very peaceful and quiet. The surrounding area invites to hundreds of walks, sightseeing (the Maare) and the Moselle is not far away.
