We stayed three nights with friends to visit the Christmas Markets in Heidelberg and Michelstadt. The greeting when we arrived was very friendly and we were given some useful information. We left our car in the hotel car and travelled by bus to Heidelberg - the bus runs every 20 mins and takes about the same time. We got off at the Old Bridge bus stop and took the very pleasant walk across the bridge into the centre.The hill up to the hotel is quite steep but coming back by bus you can get off at the next stop which is a slightly longer walk but on level ground. The hotel was very quiet and the rooms were a good size and very clean. The breakfast room was light and airy and the breakfast selection good.The staff were all very friendly and seemed very pleased to welcome guests. For the first two nights we decided to eat in Heidelberg but on our last night eat at the hotel. The meal was the best we had during our time in Heidelberg and the other meals were pretty good! We would definitely recommend this hotel for your Heidelberg visit and do try their food.
