I can't say anything about the hotel but the food in the restaurant was nice. It is bavarian themed and i had the haxe which was good. We all had a soup starter which came with crusty bread. 
I am originally from hamm and i know this place has serveral owners before. 
The prices were really good, too, and the beers are available in a mass of anyone fancies it.

We turned up after traveling through day and night from Scotland, we pleaded with them to let us in early, the cleaner told us no booking was apparent, and when age spoke to another guy she muttered English smirked and said something in German. Long story short the cleaner should not speak to paying customers like that.
The place is currently getting updated with fresh paint smell throughout and a lot of drill noise through out the day too. 
Manager herself sorted the mistake out regarding our booking.
Room was dated but clean and it had an excellent shower. After traveling to Germany from Scotland I needed a comfortable bed and it didn't disappoint, over all an average experience would have been better if the cleaner was less arrogant.


Staff arrogant.

So I  have just spent a night here without sleep. The very old brown bed squeaked and moved from side to side. And springs were poking me through the bed. The bed stunk of urine and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The next morning I pulled back the sheet a the WHOLE bed was stained from head to foot in urine.  I put my nose near the mattress and it took my breath away. I phoned the manageress and politely informed her of the state of the mattress. The 1960's brown buttoned mattress was rancid. She was aggressive on the phone and said if I put a photo on trip adviser she will sue me. But I am very upset and humiliated about having to sleep in the wee bed and I would hate to have someone else go through that too. I will be oosting a video to YouTube of the incredibly awful state of the room. Here's just a photo. 

Urine soaked vintage mattress! No sleep!

I actually made a video about how bad this hotel is. The bed was an old button brown mattress full of wee. The smell was SO BAD! The manager was horrible when I told here about it. Please watch my video, you will be shocked!
