Das Weisse Hotel an der Elbchaussee

The hotel is placed in the best Hamburg district Elbchaussee by the Elbe river. Rooms are comfortable, views at river are beautiful, staff is nice and breakfst are good with big choice of food. There is nice terrace so You can drink coffee sitting outside and admireing sourroundings. Place is quite far from city centre (15 min by taxi) so You dont have any attractions in neighberhood. From the other hand it is ideal place for relax after business meetings.

on the way at the river Elbe to Blankenese you will find the old and rich Hamburg with a lot of green and with nice vilas. With a perfect view to the river the old "weisse Hotel" you cant miss. Not so many guests were there so very quiet, but the perfect view to the river from the balcony is really the best. The rooms are clairaudient, the style from 20 years ago, but all clean, the breakfast great, the territory perfect for walk, run or bicycle.

The hotel is confortable and enjoys a very nice location on the Elbe river. It is so nice to wak up in the morning and exit the balcony to the large terrace, and spot the boats going quitely over the huge water flow. Rooms are not luxury, but large. Breakfast is sufficient. It looks like the target for this hotel may be old couples looking for some peaceful location where to rest and have short walks along the river banks. Docks with ferries are 500 m away.

Nice location

Very quiet with fantastic views

The viwes of the river from the roooms on that side of the hotel are amazing.  Breakfast is good, but apart from that this hotel doesn't have a lot going for it.  There is no air conditioning in the rooms which means that in summer the heat becomes almost unbearable especially at night.  There is no kettle in the room although there is a fridge, there is no restaurant in the evening, and there is no bar.  Rooms are of a reasonable size with high ceilings.Wifi is particularly poor, with many people having to use reception area to try and get a better signal.

Amazing views of the river

Stayed two nights for business. Value for cost is good. The view from the rooms and meeting room over the river was wonderful. The rooms themselves were clean but a bit weathered, wifi in the room was not great. Breakfast was good. Would probably stay closer to the city next time, even if more expensive.

Spectacular views, but location and amenities not great

Yes, the place has definitely been an old folks home and its mixture of furniture and styles makes one creep, the staff (with the exception of one gentleman) are most unprofessional and there are a lot of  ´could be better´ ( no soaps/shampoo, no drinking water in the room, no bar not even a coffee machine, no service whatsoever ...) but - 
The breakfast is reasonable good, the matraces are firm - and the view is spectacular!!!  
Access is good via the ferry or the bus - both about a 5 minute walk to the hotel
