Gasthof Lamm

Stuck in the traffic back from our skiing holiday in Austria, we found this hotel not far from the A8 near Stuttgart. We were lucky to find a room, as there are only 5 available. We were welcomed warmly and shown directly to our rooms (as we had been on the road for 8 hours we were exhaused). The room itself was very nice as was the bathroom. As often in Germany, it was all spotless and clean. The Gasthof has an excellent gastronomic restaurant, which we could not resist to try out. It was possible to take just one dish, but we went for the menu and we did not regret it ! The food is fabulously good, as was the wine. The owner of the Gasthof makes his own sparkling wine and 'schnaps' out of pears. In all, an excellent hotel to stop over ànd to stay for a while (the region is famous for its fruit trees), and definitely a place to recommend to eat.
