Yep, you could whinge if you wanted. The decor could use a refresh and maybe the rooms don't have the optimum layout, but then go pay top rate places at a central hotel in the city. Schiffer was brilliant for us. On a bike tour to sylt, we stopped there and were blown away by the exceptional service, friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. All requests for gelpand assistance were promptly and efficiently dealt with. And because our clothes smelled like bears had hibernated in them, they threw in a free wash and dry. Plus we wanted to get on the road as early as possible, sothey laid on breakfast at 6am for us. Plus beers were only one euro. Many thanks and regards.
