Pension am Kirchberg

We chose this Pension because it was pretty close to the largest, greatest Medieval Festival in Europe. Although the building is located right on the road, the traffic dies down at night and noise was not an issue for us. The owners were extremely accommodating, gracious and welcoming to our very late arrival (we notified them prior earlier that day), and gave us their largest room which was a converted attic. It was beautifully decorated and a very, very large space with a living area, dining area, large bathroom, and a private patio. Free wi-fi and large flat-screen TV. Lots of windows (even in the roof) to let out the summer heat so the room was very comfortable. (Also, there was a standing fan) Very clean. No breakfast, but the best bakery we found in Germany was located right next door! It was neat to see all the people from the community visit the bakery every morning (riding their bikes or walking). There was a large kitchen on the ground floor if you were so inclined to prepare a meal, and it even had a professional European coffee machine (1 euro per cup), and a soda machine. We would definitely stay there again!
