Just returned from visit to Unterwossen which was used as a base to attend the World Cup Biathlon at Ruhpolding. Gastehaus Poeppl proved to be an excellent choice both in location and quality of accommodation. Our double room was spotlessly clean and of ample size with good sized bathroom. Breakfasts were good with options of meat, cheese, muesli, yoghurt and jams, Boiled eggs were also available and we were offered bacon and eggs on one occasion. The owner Frau Poeppl (Barbara) was very friendly and very willing to assist us with information and any requirements. Although she was not fluent in English and our German being very limited we experienced no problems in communicating, but it added to the charm of the accommodation. Unterwossen does not appear to be a location frequented by British tourists and as far as I am aware we were the only ones in the resort during our stay. A huge plus. For those looking for good bed and breakfast in a friendly atmosphere and scenic location, look no further you will not be disappointed.
