I was here on a business trip for one night. The hotel is a little back from the street and is therefore very quiet. The room was relatively spacious but simply perfectly decorated and offered an excellent equivalent for the very low price. Since the Borbecker train station and the tram are in the immediate vicinity, you can get from here to the city centre or even to the fair in no time. Parking is also not a problem on the street (seat in the lower garage 5 EUR). In my view, a real recommendation.

Clean, comfortable and very cheap

Two nights in July 2020 we got here for very manageable costs and with reasonable breakfast a double room. The hotel is located on Borbecker Street with quite a lot of traffic and a streetcar at the door. It is very unobtrusive in a normal residential house. Directly opposite is another small (more prominent) hotel with restaurant. Some parking lots belong directly to the hotel. In the summer of 2020 we always got a (free) parking space at the Borbecker. Our room was perfectly in order to get out of the house. It was cleaned during the two nights, the bathroom had to be unconventional.

Or with the call two days before check-in that for family reasons the hotelier could not be on the premises and therefore there was no breakfast? With the offer that I could therefore look for another hotel? - Which I abstained from considering the organizational time spent. Or with the silverfish who greeted me in the muffled room with defective electrical wires (no darkening)? Or with the choice of cooking, hot-heating or much warming, but no water being pressed? Or with the invitation in the sunny room and bedroom? Or with the invitation in the sunny lunchtime, to the reception, to the reception, to the receptionist, to the receptionist, to the receptionist, to the receptionist, to the receptionist, and to the receptionist, without any darkening?

Where does customer protection start?

I stayed overnight, it's a cheap hotel, everything was absolutely clean, the service was very nice. I got a very good price tag for the price of the night.

Top price/performance ratio

For one night I slept here in the single room. These are pretty simple set up, but there's a hair dryer, a water boiler, a small TV and a cupboard. The room was perfectly fine for one night. Parking lots are somewhat hidden in a kind of garage. I can recommend the restaurant across the street.

Simple but clean

This is a very cheap little hotel. The rooms are large, clean and with a good sanitary system. Unfortunately no shower and the TV didn't work either. Very highly recommended - with a flat-floor community garage.

Cheap, clean and good

We actually booked in the hotel across the street, it's called similar, but what we didn't know was that the mistake didn't clear up until the next day, so we arrived unannounced, but we got a very nice room quickly, my four-year-old daughter was very lovingly cared for, and I was very satisfied and would recommend the hotel again. I would book there anytime.

Very friendly, clean hotel

Few parking spaces, lots of stairs, no elevator, nice reception, bad mattresses, questionable decoration in the room, hotel has come to years, no bar, single room with breakfast for the fair at 148€ a freak

♪ For one night, all right ♪

Just back from a trip here must say ultimately for the money spent €198 per night the room was disappointing. I arrived just after 7pm so there was no one behind reception just self serve not an issue but the corridors were very dark, the rooms very basic the bed single with duvet and pillow, strong smell of smoke throughout.  Wifi does not work beyond the ground and first floor leaving the business element struggling if like myself to catch up on emails at the end of a long day... Personally I wouldn't have paid €70 for this but I guess you need to make your own mind up.
Pros -
- it's a room in Essen for the show
- take the 103 underground tram from Essen rathausen
- good restaurant over the road
- metal roller shutters on Windows to block the world out

Cons
- smoke smell in rooms
- very expensive for the comfort etc
- wifi rubbish
 - in reality a long way out by public transport
- corridors very dark and timers on lights go off quick


Ok... But...

During EssenMesse fair we look for room it was very good choice : staf was nice,  bed comfortable,  breakfest ok,  parking close maybe bathroom need renovation.
And wifi need big change to much complicated.
