I nice room with a balcony looking out towards the river (though not right on the river) and with lovely views of vineyards on the hillside opposite. Friendly staff at the cafe and hotel, and the cafe is open all day for drinks, snacks and cakes. We got a free bus ticket on the local bus for the duration of our stay, which was unexpected but a nice surprise. We used them to travel into Cochem to visit the castle. Cochem has loads of restaurants and shops, as well as the famous castle at the top of the hill. There was a garage for motorbike parking. Ernst has several restaurants and cafes along the main road, as well as a really pretty riverside walk area.
