We stayed here whilst I was working in Dresden. The location is a short walk from the River Elbe and Schiller Platz. Matthias is a friendly host and prepares a wonderful breakfast. This is not a "character hotel", the building is fairly modern and the decoration is a bit of a strange mix, but it's very clean and spacious. We had a large, well-lit bathroom with a very good shower. Everything works, although the WiFi was sometimes a bit hit-and-miss. I liked the location very much, a quiet residential area. The tram (S-Bahn) to the centre (Number 12) is just on the corner of the street. We spoke German with Matthias so I don't know how good his English is, but he would definitely do his best!
