Gasthof Zur Krone

On our way to Austria, we decided to drive 7 hours and then do the last bit in the morning, so was looking for a place to get our head down for the night. We arrived at around 8.30pm and literally dropped our bits off to the room and came down for a well deserved beer and something to eat. Food was great! We ordered 2 snitzels which included chips and salad and one curryworst and chips for the kids. Portions massive and food was lush! Prices were great! €10,90 for the snitzel and €6,20 for the sausage and chips - 1 portion was more than enough for our 2 and 8 year old to share. Even better, a pint of beer was €2,90. Don't think I've paid that price since early 2000s! Room was perfect. We had a room with twin beds and bunk beds for the kids. Clean, plently of storage and shower was lovely and powerful. Breakfast was also good. More than enough to choose from; bread/pastries, cold meats, cheeses, jam/spreads, yogurts, fresh fruit and juices/coffee/tea. Basically every thing you nees to set you up for the day. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Also two garages nearby to top up your fuel for a reasonable price. At the time, it was 1,40 for litre of 95 unleaded. 40 cents cheaps than in Holland.
