Walking into the restaurant of this hotel and requesting a room, we were shown a pretty bedroom with traditional alpine flowers painted on the doors and furniture with a view of the pine trees at the side of the hotel thereby avoiding sounds of traffic. It suited us perfectly. In early March, people were still cross country ski-ing and this hotel is in an ideal location for such activities. Because I'd felt unwell all day, I did not eat but my husband did and said he'd had an excellent meal of vegetable soup, venison + vegetables, wine and a coffee for 24 euros. Breakfast consisted of muesli, yoghurt, fruit juice, tinned fruit cocktail, boiled eggs, cheese and parma ham, tea or coffee. 80 euros bed and breakfast. My only quibble was that the shower, toilet area is very dark and it is impossible to see to put make-up on. It would be a big improvement if the mosaic tiling could be changed to white instead of having fawn/brown. Putting a bright light over the washbasin would also be very helpful. Otherwise, we found this hotel, cosy, warm and comfortable this winter and looking at the beautiful scenery we shall probably be back in the summer to go walking!
