My friend and I, both older ladies who wanted a two bedroom aparment stayed at 56 Helgolanderstr recently for 7 days during a very hot spell in May. The apartment is in a lovely old house, and was airy and cool. Decor is quirky with lots of artwork. The apartment was clean, and the host also removed rubbish and changed towels during our stay. The kitchen facilities were a bit basic, no microwave or washing machine, but adequate. The host offers a laundry service. The house is located in a quiet residential area, but with plenty of supermarkets, bars, restaurants, etc. within easy walk. The host provided full information on local amenities. It is also convenient for major transport links, particularly trams 2 and 10 to the town and the railway staton. We were very happy with our stay. All arrangements prior to arrival worked well.
