The sleep city is in ruins. Inside view: only stones left! On the grounds there is a drill, the individual parts are already sorted into stones, heaters, reusable metal, etc. Doesn't look like you could book a room.:D

I have booked a room using booking.com but the hotel was closed.  (Permanently?)

We tried to ring the bell at the door and call them but nobody took up the phone.

I was in Bremen last weekend (October 2019) with my family (we booked the Sleep City for two days). Location: The hostel is very central! It's very close to the shopping street and the bushestels are also located directly on the street at the hostel. A little thing I would criticize negatively, a slightly muffler/smoking friendly Geruch beds in the Treasury. The receptionist was right there when I checked in and made a friendly impression! No fancy hostel but cheap, clean and a central location

From outside this hotel does not look nice. But when you have booked it, you should know the price. And when you get insite, is only half as bad. Rooms are (Nr 1) is big, the bathroom is ok. All is ok. You can stay there for 2 or maybe 3 nights. The location is quite convenience. You walk 5 Minutes to the riverbanks with all restaurants. The main marktplace is 10 minutes walk, or take the tram in front of the door. Parking cost 5€/d in front.

Budget Hotel near by

From the outside, one should think that this hotel no longer exists. A small side entrance is the official entrance. The entrance is lined with high-knee weeds. Then one enters a dark corridor and stands in front of a small reception. The employee has been very kind and friendly. Through the dark staircase we came to the room with the worst expectations. BUT: Everything is fine! Something unusual set up, but everything is clean and still quite new. Very clean bathroom! Nothing to blame. For two people 64... fits!

It's not nice outside, but the room's absolutely fine.

Unbelievably ridiculous "service". No english, rude service, slow service, hang up twice my call angry, charged wrong credit card and will not refund, wont co-operate. I really don't recommend anybody to take a risk with this hotel. Avoid at all costs.


Rude, unprofessional customer service

Terrible location, right on the street.Room walls melted, smoke smelled all over the room, even on the bedding! >No towels or soap!Total dirty and dirty!No service, no wire that works.I didn't get an eye because of the mold on the walls and the smoke smelling in the room.I was really sick in the morning and had stomach problems!The hotel belongs closed in my opinion!I had to wash my collected clothes and clean the oily smell of smelling/smoking after staying in the hotel!No elevator.

I think the hotel is closed. There's foam on the walls, there's smoke in the room.

Clean room, think Travelodge with character. Everything you get is clean and crisp. Good location for the city centre, tram stop outside, plenty of restaurants around the corner, supermarkets nearby, easy to get to and from.
 The business has changed hands and has improved significantly, MUCH cleaner than under the previous management.

We were on a girls trip, two friends. We choose Schlaf city because it was a cheap alternative. The standard is so so, you get what you pay for no more. The rooms are simple and a bit old. A lot noise from the street at night. The room we got had a good size and the pillow and duvet was great. It was a bit cold at our room. Very close to shops and in ok distance to Schnoor and Der Marktplatz. We didn't spend much time on the hotel, just for having a place to sleep and have our things. The hotel was not with personale other than maybe 4 hours a day, but you could call them when you wanted to. They could not speak english(maybe a little), just german. It was no hairdryer or shampoo/conditioner even it said so when we booked. The shower had a very bad jet and it came almost no water out. Don´t expect much.

Cheap and simple alternative

The hotel can only be recommended to travelers who value every euro they save. I would like to note its good location - close to the centre of Bremen and the main attractions. Very nearby is a tram stop, where you can get to both the railway station and the airport. There are shops and restaurants nearby. However, the hotel does not look very comfortable as a nightclub. The room was without windows and with an unpleasant smell. The Internet worked only at the reception.
