My husband and I were touring the area on bike during the busy wine festival season. We called the Alter Winzerhof and managed to secure their last room. Weisenheim am Berg is a small village, beautifully situated on a hill with vineyards all around. The guesthouse is simple but really lovely and our room was spacious and comfortable. The evening we arrived, Harold (the owner, along with Andrea) was doing a wine tasting for two other guests and invited us to join in. We had so much fun and learned a lot. Though their English is quite good, It helped to know German. We wish we could have stayed longer. Vielen dank Andrea und Harold (Ich hoffe, ich habe mich an Ihre Namen richtig erinnert).
