75 reviewsWe were three couples who stayed there late September for our yearly hiking trip to the area. This time we decided to stay in the town of Deidesheim, not to far from our hiking destination Pfälzer-Wald. The place is perfect in many way, in the heart of the wine growing area Pfalz, there are many excellent restaurants in town, and last but not least there are some of the best wine-makers available. The Gästehaus Ritter von Böhl is family owned and managed. Its buildings are half-timbered, some of them centuries old, well restored and maintained. The interior decoration is breath-taking, with modern furniture crafted from solid beech wood, and art work and collectors’ items everywhere in the corridors and stair cases. Breakfast is excellent, hospitality and friendliness stand out.
