We booked this hotel without knowing much about the area and had a wonderful stay. Natalie, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating. Her English isn't perfect, but is much better than our German, and she was able to give us great ideas for things to do in the area. The hotel room itself was basic but comfortable, and boasted fantastic views of the surrounding area from the balcony. The pool and sauna on site were a great perk. There's a tax of 1.90E / person on the room, but with it comes a Black Forest tourist card that included free rail and bus transit within the Black Forest. We had rented a car, but returned it before the end of our stay because the hotel was so easily connected to the region by rail. (See www.bahn.com - it's station Biberach.) We couldn't be happier with our experience. Highly recommended.
