Neu-Helgoland

My family and I stayed here between Christmas and New Year's and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a little dicey when we first arrived, after driving through some dark, narrow streets, and then trying to find an open door at the hotel (we had arrived shortly after the check-in time). But once we found people in the restaurant, we were set! The rooms are very clean and plenty spacious. The area is quiet and quite beautiful, with the hotel sitting right at the edge of a pretty lake. I saw swans swimming past one morning. The breakfast is decent, but a little heavy on bread and meat. I would have appreciated some non-dairy, non-egg options. Not many people on the staff speak English. It is a bit of a communication challenge, but the staff are all super friendly and do whatever they can to make the guest happy. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It isn't central Berlin, but that may be a good thing.
