We stayed at the Allee Apartments in March 2013.

Positive: 
Only £60 per night for two.
Bright and spacious apartment with two good-sized rooms, a large kitchen and a large bathroom. 
Comfortable beds.
Convenient location: a short walk from Pankow station and right next to a tram stop.

Negative:
It was difficult to get the apartment warm, even with all radiators turned to full.
The only wardrobe was a modified glass-fronted cabinet in the lounge. The wardrobe was not large enough to hang the items sideways and with two coats was nearly full.
The TV was digital terrestrial (like freeview) but the arial was a small plastic box propped against the window. It took some positioning to get any channels.
The wifi was rather slow.
Bathtub with shower on the wall did not have a shower curtain. Not great for taking a shower as everything around the bathtub would become wet. Especially the toilet which was right next to the tub.
Cleanliness: When we arrived we found hairs in the bathtub and sink.
All glasses and most of the cups were dirty. They had been used and put back. The glasses all had some sticky residue at the bottom (probably cola) or orange pulp pieces.

Since the up-front costs included an extra £30 for cleaning on checkout, it would have been appreciated to find the flat clean. 
 I did mention this to the agency on the first day, and since they were in the flat to deliver additional towels (for the bathroom floor) I would have expected them to change or at least clean the glasses. 

On the day departure, check out is at 11:00. At 10:40 the front door (which was locked from inside) opened and the cleaners came in. They could have knocked or rung the bell and instead of apologising we were told "check out at 11:00, ok!".

Although the location was good, I was put off by the lack of cleanliness, the missing shower curtain and the attitude of the cleaner.
