Mercure Hotel Berlin City

This is my third time staying at this hotel, twice of which has been as a solo traveller. After being so impressed the first time I stayed here, I've continued to come back. The location is ideal, the Brandenburg Gate is about a 20 minute walk, but it's very close to the U-Bhan, so getting around is no problem. The neighbourhood isn't too overcrowded either. Not only are the rooms spacious and clean, the beds are really comfortable and extra pillows provided. I was on the 7th floor this time, but also stayed on 3rd and 4th floors previously. Never had a problem with noise, the rooms are pretty quiet unless having the windows open, and you can hear the trams and traffic going by. Not really an issue for me. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty. Loved having my breakfast and then taking a nice coffee out into the courtyard to sit in the sun. The lady who greets you for breakfast is fantastic. So welcoming and friendly, I remember her from my last visit, which is always a good sign as she clearly makes a positive impression. To be fair, the whole staff are really great too. Speak very good English, but also patient when I'm trying to practice my German. Very helpful if ever needed. Will definitely be back for a fourth stay again soon.
