I stayed there for a week with my family in a room of the apartment. The location was OK, the apartment offered basic conditions. The kitchen was pretty crowded and no common space available.
The owner imposed a small and strict window of time for checking in (2-6 p. m.) and urged us to leave until 10 a. m., with no possibility to store luggage. 
The main problem was with the safety deposit of 100 euros he asked for at our arrival. Several days after we left, he decided by himself to give us back only 30 euros, for a stain on a corner of one mattress, which he said in an email that was due to us. In the photo he attached there was a barely visible stain, which could have been there upon our arrival, or appear after our departure – but anyway it seemed very easy to clean with a little water.
The owner didn’t inspect the room when we left, giving us indications to just leave the key on the table and the door of the room open, with other people staying in the apartment as well. Very bad experience for us!

Apartment Schulz is Fab!

I rented  a double room the 20/09/2019 payed on Booking.com .When we arrived the owner wanted 100€ as a caution and told me he will send it back to me. I never get the money back! Where is my money??? You told me I get it back in 6 months, is  1 year and half than I'm waiting!!!you are not shy to still money to the people!?

Fraud! The owner is a thief. He ask money without give it back

Location was very good. Hot water was an issue. Owner is very good and helpful. Overall the stay was satisfactory.

the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and toilets were roomy and cleanReal unpleasantness: potential customers are warned about late-arrivalfees on the site, but with no amount specified; "late arrival" meantafter 6:00, as we learnt later on by email.Our original flight from Frankfurht was overbooked and the replacementflight to Berlin was due 4h later: the owner agreed to meet us at 8:00against 50e cash!Then, our replacement flight was cancelled (along with all other flightsfrom Berlin!) due to weather conditions: the owner simply said there'dbe noone to open the door to us, refused to leave the key with anyone,so we had to find emergency accommodation while on the train to Berlin!No-amount-specified "Late arrival fees" are mentioned on the site forsure, but nothing about "nobody there + rooms prepaid + no refund" ifyou turn up later (11:00, in our case: not that late!!!)

It was a very quiet place with friendly service. Very close to U bahn only 3 stops away from Alexanderplatz👍 The kitchen was great to use for breakfast. And nearby at Kastanienalle is biergarten Prater the oldest one in Berlin. Very good low price for 3 nights in Berlin

Our  room was really wide, clean, confortable. The  owner very kind and available. The  bathoroom so good . Nice  location in the  center close restaurants, market and tram and city way (s-ban). Kitchen and fridge in common. Price interesting. Raccomandable.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We explained to the owner that we may be 10 minutes late on arrival which we were told that this would be unacceptable.
So we sprinted through berlin to get here on time. Howerver we managed to arrived here before 6pm which is last check in time and the owner had decided to go home at 5pm.
We had no where to stay over night and we were left stranded in Berlin due to this. Try and find a place to stay for 6 people late at night, you can't.
The next day the owner agreeded to meet us and he couldn't care less that we were left with no were to stay. He was extremely rude and wasn't bothered about making his guests feel welcomed. Terrible customer service espicially when you are in the hospitality business. We never received any money back for this night and we also had to pay €100 each for the rooms deposit, where as we were told it would only be €100 between them. If we hadnt paid for the remianing nights we would have found somewhere else to stay. The rooms were also very average.
Thanks for nothing.

Do Not Stay here

Without a doubt the most infuriating stay I’ve had in any foreign city (Due to the host, this came close to ruining our holiday). Host was totally inflexible when we needed to check-in which resulted in having no accommodation overnight in a foreign city. 

He had no regard for our safety and I would advise others to think twice before booking in this accommodation. 

His hours are clearly displayed as open and available to check-in before 6pm, however he did not stay until this time to check us in when we visited (He went home at 5pm whilst still charging in advance for the full balance and then not offering to refund any amounts). 

Wouldn’t stay in this accommodation again even if you paid me!

Host was not present to check us into apartments

Recommendation: don’t book here. Despite the room being cozy and large, the host was the most nasty and inflexible person I’ve ever dealt with. Admittedly, we booked a property that didn’t allow late check in (fully our mistake), but late check in at the majority of accommodation is no problem, therefore we didn’t even check the conditions. After being told we couldn’t check in after 6pm (Seriously, 6pm??) the option for them to allow us late check in till midnight was offered for a fee. Our arrival time would have been 12:30am (30mins later), but this was not an option. We asked if we could check in the next day, but it was a public holiday so no one could take 20minutes out of there day to let us in (sigh...). I said we’d then check in on the Friday to which we were told checking on the Wednesday was our only option, which we couldn’t do. This conversation happened over close to a week - slow replies, an unwillingness to help or drive to help us find a solution.

The owner didn’t respond to our requests for 2-3 days before our flight after asking for alternative solutions - We were finally allowed to let our friend collect the key on our behalf, this solution was approved on the day before or arrival, to which we worried about where we would stay in Berlin.

I forgot to mention, my partner had posted a negative review on TripAdvisor about the property after the host had been completely inflexible with check in times prior to us arriving at the approved check in solution, to which he revoked his initial check in solution. Unprofessional and immature.
