A situation like that during the forced housing administration, where a beautiful, well-off apartment was forcibly converted into single-family apartments. Bathrooms with poor electrical equipment, wall coverings, cables, furniture, multi-storey boxes, certainly 50 years old, windows defective, escape routes to the adjacent balcony and over the servicemen staircase dismantled or altered.

Unfortunately, there are no zero points.

As others wrote, many flaws... on the homepage, floor photos that have nothing to do with the hotel. You can take for one night if you can live with this, for example: table plate in the room ripped apart, door fell out of the window, mold in the shower, instead of rusty slabs, the darkening gardens didn't cover the entire window area.

Little Comfort for a Lot of Money

I didn't like the noise when I opened the windows and the cleaning lady came in so soon, one day we couldn't get in because I was cleaning and we still had a shower, waiting on the stairs.

A lot of people have a bit of noise, a lot of focus, and a lot of cleanliness.

Since it was only one night, I didn't let the reviews scare me. In Berlin, you have to expect a lot of things that you no longer think are possible. So the room with bathroom and toilet was acceptable. Breakfast was also acceptable. For me, during my visit, the closeness to my acquaintances was important. But what I don't accept is that at 8:30 a.m. there was a loud knock and the woman who also gave the reception locked up, although I had turned the key inside twice just to clean the bill for me.

I'm not coming.

If you're looking for a hotel in the entrance area, you see building materials in the picture. I wouldn't book a red tape.

Let me start by saying that if someone wants to have a Hotel the basic 1 should be they like people. The accomodation is like a Hostel but with single, double or triple room to book. The rooms are ok bit cold, bed are confortable. There Is only one toilet in the entire floor!! You have a mirror and a place to wash your hands un your room! 
No one is in reception many Times. The owner Anna Wolf lives in the building Bit every time someone Rings the Bell it sounds in the entire first floor. She has a "safety place" to save the Key If you left it in Reception and this does Not work. When you call, she is Not there. If it is in the Restaurant near by, she is super rude, react angry when you ask for Help. 
Even I heard her saying to other woman when she wants to Check in "Ow you speak german, because I am tired of all this foreign"
What????

The whole hotel is muddy. Towels smell like so-and-so-left when they get wet (everyone I had). A shady, calcified bathroom in the hallway. A stained carpet. Dirty lunchware at breakfast, had to search until I found a clean knife. Breakfast buffet is not filled. The photos on the website have nothing to do with the living room where I was: unkindly stuffed, cables hanging on the wall, screws, nails just stained. Bedspreads smell like they've been washed with their hands. Staff is friendly. I think they're interested until they know exactly what kind of hotel this is, and honestly want to get a nix better.

Better somewhere else.

Don't operate or work in a boarding house if you don't have a crush on people! This applies to all the employees there...especially the lovely old lady in the bathrobe who was so nice to let us drop off our luggage in the beautiful, decorated and smoky office because we arrived two hours too early. Luckily we only booked one night because we were guests at a wedding.

Unkindness not to be exaggerated

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (pension) and I was shocked! The reception was already quite habituating. The front door9e is open 24 hours so that everyone can enter because the reception is never occupied. The rooms are very low and more like a cheap hourly hotel. The breakfast is as cheap as the accommodation, under all the canons. Actually, such an accommodation would have to be closed permanently. But the pictures speak volumes. This accommodation is not even worth 5€.

Very old.

There are many reasons why one might select a particular hotel.  These might include the liesure facilities, the gardens with which it is surrounded, its location 'away from it all', and so on.  None of these figured in my choice: it was within walking distance of where I needed to be, and it was cheap.  On my own, away for business, busy all day and in the evening, I just needed somewhere cheap to sleep, shower, and shave.  Against these criteria alone, the Hotel Pension Dahlem was a good choice.
Unfortunately, it pretty much stopped there.  There was no tea/coffee-making equipment - but this is Germany, so it is not expected.  There was no bar - in fact nothing except breakfast served 7.00 to 9.30, I think.  "Cooked" if you wanted boiled eggs, otherwise DIY and cold.  Take English Breakfast tea bags if that it your preference, and learn to like full cream milk in your tea: be grateful for small mercies!
Based on Room 204, which is all that I saw, some of the shortcomings of this hotel are more difficult to forgive.  Like the curtains being too small for the window, allowing light in either side (see photo).  Like the soap being far enough outside the shower enclosure to make using it impracticable!  And there only being one mirror, the one above the sink.  And the towels being threadbare.
Nobody made up the bed whilst I was our during the day.  In fact I could believe that apart from the guests, nobody entered the room at all, ever - certailny not to dust away the cobwebs, or wash the once-white net curtains that are now yellow , even orange in some places.  Arguably they matched the bright yellow wallpaper that I think was almost popular in about 1981.
The heating did work, which was good, as it was rather cold outside, but it was straight out of the 1950's.  The furniture was tired, but functional - all except the lamp on the table which did not switch off, so I unplugged it.  Any why did my clothes start to smell like I had hung them in a chip shop when I had put them in the wardrobe?  One of life's great mysteries.
I would not describe this hotel as "Terrible", as I have stayed in worse, but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
