Schloss Gerzen

We stayed in Schlosswirtschaft Gerzen for one night only, but if we could, we would definitely stay longer. Actually it is a small-sized (or mid-sized, depends on the scale) Count’s palace. The rooms as well as the other parts of the palace are very beautifully and stylishly renovated and decorated. And they are really very big. We were very impressed by our remarkable room with four big windows (Boudoir Sophie it’s called, every room has its name), and to my mind we got it for a very reasonable price. The interior combination of modern features and old wooden and iron elements is accomplished with great taste. There is beautiful wooden furniture there and pictures on the walls. This place has its unique character, it attracts and charms. Everything is very clean. The sleep quality is excellent. The private parking on site is big, convenient and free. We liked also the restaurant there. We had something traditional for dinner and it was very good. And the buffet breakfast was delicious too. The service at the restaurant was fast and friendly. And the overall service including service at the reception was fine. Gerzen is a very small but very nice town. We were happy to find it (accidentally) while looking for short-term accommodation close to Landshut. Hope to come over to Gerzen Palace (Schloss Gerzen) again someday.
