I wanted to update my previous review. The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious and location right near Schlenkerla, die historische Rauchbierbrauerei was wonderful.-Great food there and beer garden a definite stop. So food and drinks are abundant from the area. Parking is up a very narrow road (as are almost all roads) so either have one of your party stay with your bags and drop them off and go park or haul them over cobblestones to the hotel from the parking area. At the time we were there, there was no pot for heating water or coffee and the lobby closed early and opened late. I would definitely stay again but bring my own water kettle and some instant coffee or tea. Yes. I need coffee in the morning lol. I think the lack of it affected my previous review (May 2019)! But all in all this hotel was really lovely. The room was grande. Bamberg is a lovely town and the Rauchbier there is delicious. Again, I would definitely return to this hotel. The exterior belies the interior.
