I booked this hotel less than an hour from Heidelberg on my way to Rothenburg and the Czeck Republic/Slovakia. It is cheap and located in an industrial zone (so not so easy to find even with a GPS - if your gps stops at a turn just keep on driving, it is located 50 metres after on your left) BUT it is clean and the amenities are new. Also very silent at night (but do not expect to sleep with your window opened, the highway is not far). I did not have too much troubles getting the key from the automatic machine that is in fact the reception (there is nobody there). Easy to park your car in front of it. No restaurant nearby.
