Residenz Bocksberg-Blick

We rented two apartments for 8 nights in August in one of the blocks. We were on the third floor , note there is no lift (5 apartments per floor). One had an attic bedroom (flight of stair leading to it) that sleeps 4 (double plus sofa bed), with open plan basic kitchen, diner / lounge with another sofa bed. Balcony with lovely views. Shower/toilet very new and lovely and clean. Other apartment same but all on same level, bedroom with just double bed and sofa bed in lounge.. Both apartments clean and tidy. There is ample parking, some residents own their own apartments. In the basement there is a games room, wc, washing machine and dryer that takes €1 coins (€3 per 2 1/2hr wash or dry), you need to turn the water on to operate the washing m/c. You need to separate recycling /waste correctly and empty bins on departure. It is extra for bed linen and towels so if taking your own you need single duvet covers and sheets as all mattresses are single. Take extra pillows either way if you prefer 2 normally as only one per bed. some pillows are those strange squashy square ones that are found in Germany. The owner is very friendly and once you have met him it is more relaxed as he will help out where he can. There is a tourist tax, but we got a discount of some places with this. Hahnenklee has a small supermarket but more choice in Goslar and Clausthaus Zellerfeld, which has chain supermarkets like Aldi and Rewe. We would stop here again. Breakfast is an option to have in the main guest diner but we didn't try this. Reception is manned between 8.30am and 10 am everyday but you can get your key at anytime. Wifi code available after you check in the morning after arrival. Wifi worked better in the smaller apartment..
