Naheschlößchen

We came to Bad-Münster am Stein-Ebernburg for the Mittelaltermarkt, and stayed three nights as a way to wind down our two-week trip. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I booked a stay in this little town, but the family Theobald made us feel very warm and welcome here at their establishment. Our 'Komfort-Doppelzimmer' room was spacious, modern and very comfortable indeed. All of the facilities were clean, in good working order, and the mountain waterfall scene on the walls of the shower cube was a nice extra touch. We had plenty of space to stretch out and just relax while exploring this sleepy little town and getting our feet back under us for the final leg of our journey. Free Wi-Fi is available, although we found getting a solid connection a bit hit-or-miss in our room. We were able to get done what we needed with a little bit of creative positioning in the room for good signal. Breakfast was a light but traditional German buffet of breads and sandwich fixings. We were offered fresh-made eggs by our hosts each morning as well, and everything was consistently very high quality. We also ate one night's dinner at the restaurant (Jahrezeiten), which was an absolute delight. Our food was delicious and reasonably priced for a nice and upscale restaurant. The atmosphere was always comfortable and the staff was friendly and attentive. Many thanks to the family Theobald for a wonderful end to our trip!
