This is a lovely family hotel. Service was better than any five hotel room, very nice people. You have to go to the thermals, there is a good italian restaurant close to the hotel, their duck was very good. The hotel is quiet, wifi works well. TV is good. Will come back for sure on a next trip yo Hartz.

Loved this place so much that we extended our trip!  clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated Hotel.  Easy to find, plenty of parking, nice side yard to enjoy drinks in the evening.   Plenty of small details to make the hotel more comfortable such as tables and lounge chairs in the yard with blankets to cover for cooler evenings.  They even offered to bring out the heater!  They offer an honors-bar (cash bar) service which includes beers, soda, and water for reasonable prices!  Coffee and tea were free.  Breakfast was fresh and plenty.  The rooms were large and ours included an en suite which was large as well.  They had plastic trays to put your dirty boots/shoes on and lots of hangers in the closet.  We even had a small basket of hand wipes, shoe wipes and tissues.  Besides the large screen TV and clock radio - they even offered a book to count sheep if you can't sleep!   Easy walk to town (all down hill) and if you don't want to walk back up hill, the hotel offered free bus ticket!  You get a map and some coupons as well to make your shopping experience pleasant.

My stay here was lovely! I felt very welcome and taken care of. Everything is clean and beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious and provide a great start to the day with all that it offers, the family that owns the hotel are kind, friendly and very helpful as is everyone who works here. Nothing was ever a problem. They also added thoughtful touches like chocolate eggs and bunnies for Easter week and mini-donuts for breakfast when families with children stayed at the hotel. I highly recommend staying here!

New owners have recently (May 2014) taken over this hotel, and are keen to maintain the standards set by the previous owners. We booked 3 nights and ended up staying a fourth, we were so pleased with the friendliness of the owners, and the quality of the hotel and the breakfast. Just a short walk down the hill into the town and a variety of restaurants and cafes, yet in a quiet residential area.

Bad Harzburg is by far the best location from which to explore the area, and this hotel makes an excellent base.

A very good 3 star Hotel - good value for money.
Clean nice rooms with TV.
We had room No. 3 and it was on the ground floor with a big bathroom with a shower.
Very friendly and helpful owner.
A goflers paradise since it is located right next door to the Golf course.
Good breakfast - had everything you could wish for.
We will definitely revisit.
